This summer, the mother of all stories returns: after centuries of interpretations and remakes, the Odyssey is ready to be read, watched and discussed once again.
Over the past several years, the creator economy has transformed the publishing landscape, changing how writers sell books, earn income, and reach readers. With the rise of BookTok and creator platforms like Substack, self-publishing is no longer seen as a fallback for authors who “didn’t make it” in traditional publishing. More writers are successfully marketing and selling their books independently by building audiences on social media instead of relying on publishing houses.
A direct relationship with readers, combined with a growing range of creator tools, allows writers to build sustainable income from their books. That makes revenue diversification an increasingly important topic for authors.…
Hi there to all my future readers. I have been writing for a few years now, but I started to write seriously with a view to self publish in late 2024. My first novel, 'Mystery of Wicker Wood' was published early the following year. All of my books have a link to my own life, for example my most recent novel, 'Rogue Bullet,' is based on my own military experience in the British Army.
The Broughty Souls features a hotel that I stayed in as a boy whilst on vacation to Scotland. The hotel was the most creepy place I had ever stayed in.
Please visit my author webpage to explore all options and please if you do leave a donation, I will put that money towards a much required replacement laptop.
Enjoy my stories and many thanks to you,
Kirk
Hey there, friend!
I’m Heaven, a fourth-year university student studying English and an aspiring author. In my spare time, whenever I do have it, I enjoy reading, hiking, taking photos, trying new matcha shops, and going on nature walks.
I’ve been writing since I was eight, but didn’t begin to take it seriously until I was fourteen. On my page, you will find works that resonate with life's rawness and with what it means to survive in the midst of it. I love introspection, which often fuels my projects, and I'm excited to share them with you! My hope for publishing on here is to overcome my doubts with my writing and to share the words I have to say. I'm excited to have you along for the ride and see what happens!
