    Who Am I?

    Who Am I?

My name carries many pieces of who I am, but no single title could ever fully hold my story.
I am WíyAŋke Kangi Wakan Šuŋk—She Who Walks Among the Ravens With Sacred Wolf. I am a mother to six children (4 by birth and 2 by love) as well as "Mimi" to thirteen grandchildren. I am a Minister at Large, of Santee Dakota Sioux lineage, an author, composer, creator, storyteller, advocate, spiritual worker, and founder of BluRaven Holdings LLC: The BluRaven Project.
I walk a nontraditional spiritual path shaped by my sacred name, lived experience, intuition, ancestral knowing, energy, healing, nature, and the sacred things that cannot always be explained with ordinary words.
I have lived enough life to know that people do not become who they are by accident. We are shaped by love, loss, survival, and the moments that break us open to remind us why we must keep going.
My story includes two profound soul connections that have touched my life in different, meaningful ways.
David.. is my soulmate... My Grace.. His love is unconditional, familiar, safe, grounding, and true—a presence that reaches my spirit and holds a place in my heart that time cannot replace. Being truly seen by him has helped shape and strengthen and heal me.
Ernesto... my mirror and my divine "twin soul" .. His transition on March 5, 2026, changed the landscape of my life. He was the soul connection who reflected me back to myself—revealing my strength, my sensitivity, my wounds, my purpose, and my capacity to love beyond ordinary understanding. I stand in humble gratitude of his part in my soul finding its way back to Source.
When Ernesto transitioned, grief came with many layers. It was not simply grief for a person gone from this physical world, but for a deeply reflective and spiritually significant bond. Yet I have learned that grief does not mean a connection is over; it means it has changed form. Love continues through memory, dreams, signs, music, and quiet spiritual knowing.
David remains my grounding soulmate, and Ernesto remains my reflective mirror and twin. Each holds a distinct, sacred place in my heart—one does not replace or diminish the other.
I am also the mother who is trying her best to keep showing up for my children, and the Mimi hoping to leave an honorable legacy for my grandchildren. Legacy is what we build, teach, and preserve right now—the love, truth, and courage we pass forward.
That vision lives through BluRaven Holdings LLC and The BluRaven Project. It is a space rooted in creative arts, community outreach, advocacy, remembrance, and transformation. Through writing books and creating music, I compose stories and soundscapes that hold space for spirit, memory, and truth.... Within this mission, The BluRaven Project carries forward Ernesto’s vision through "The Pathway Project" along with our pilot project: "4A-Mothers-Love", which was created to honor our daughter, Eboni's testimony after an unjust and unconditional arrest.
Both are dedicated to those who are so often dismissed, overlooked, and forgotten—offering a sanctuary to find themselves, gain their footing, and navigate the heavy burdens of justice issues, abuse, addiction, and loss.
Built for the stories and people who need somewhere to belong, our work supports individuals, families, and communities working toward wholeness. I believe our stories matter, our loved ones deserve to be remembered, and creating—whether through song, the written word, or practical advocacy—is how we heal.
My path has not been ordinary, and I no longer need it to be. I honor the wisdom that comes through silence, nature, energy, and ancestry. Sometimes healing is writing a chapter; sometimes it is composing a melody; and sometimes it is simply choosing to keep living with an open heart.
I am continuing forward with love in my heart, memory in my hands, and purpose in my spirit—turning pain into purpose, memories into medicine, and my story into a light for someone else.

Comedy Horror Laughing in the Dark

Comedy Horror Laughing in the Dark

My new book Laughing in the Dark is about:
When Malik “Mack” Freeman returns to his strange hometown for Grandma Ruby’s funeral, he expects grief, awkward family conversations, and maybe a house he can sell to fix his broken life. Instead, he inherits the old Freeman home on Mercy Lane, a house the locals swear has been “resting” for years and should never be entered after midnight.
Malik laughs off the warnings, because joking is how he survives fear. But the house begins to speak. A locked room laughs upstairs. A basement door breathes. Family portraits change faces. Bibles turn blank in church. And across Freeman Crossing, people begin laughing uncontrollably before vanishing into the darkness below town.
With the help of fierce Aunt Pearlene, dramatic but faithful Deacon Leroy, and Tasha Reed, his old flame and a determined detective, Malik uncovers the truth: the town made a terrible bargain generations ago, and his family has been guarding the secret ever since. But Grandma Ruby’s hidden diary reveals something deeper. The Freemans did not cause the curse. They were chosen to stop it.
As Mr. Grin, the terrifying spirit with too many teeth, spreads fear through the town, Malik must face the grief he has hidden behind jokes his whole life. To save Freeman Crossing, he must reclaim his laughter, name the truth, free the missing, and break the evil buried beneath Mercy Lane before midnight takes them all.
