Recovery has made me much more aware of my own thoughts, reactions, and patterns.
That awareness is useful, but sometimes it also makes me want to immediately turn everything I notice into another project.
I see something I do not like and my first thought is, “Okay, how do I fix this?”

Sometimes noticing something honestly is part of the work.
Sometimes I need to sit with it long enough to understand what is actually going on before I start trying to change it.
    Awareness can be progress too.
