The Parade Ends. The Pride Stays.
As 2026 enters its final months and many cities have held their Pride celebrations, the rainbow flags begin to come down. What they represent stays with us.
The courage to be seen. The freedom to love. The memory of standing among people who understand what it took to get there.
My poetry chapbook, Pride 2026, offers a keepsake of that spirit. Across five acts and “Still Here,” it creates space to reflect on identity, belonging, and the lives we continue to build.
Keep it beside a photograph from your first parade. Give it to someone who helped you feel safe being yourself. Or let it mark the year you found a little more courage to live openly.
Years from now, a keepsake can bring us back to a moment, a person, or the version of ourselves we were becoming.
What moment from Pride 2026 would you want to preserve?
