I have published my first book, Coming Out to Mom, as a memoir and in memory of my mother who recently passed. I was her caretaker for many years after her massive stroke debilitating her completely. She suffered from a kidney disease as well, but this past year was diagnosed with Stage 4 metastasis esophageal cancer having spread to her lungs and liver. She was given 12-18 months to live but only made it 3 months. She was my rock. My best friend. Losing her has broken me. Trying to go back to work has been quite the challenge due to many reasons. The industry has changed since I’ve worked full time last, and my grieving is getting the best of me. I’ve decided to start writing in hopes to express my feelings and continue to heal, and also to help me survive.
