Dragon Tamer is the first volume of the Chronicles of the United Counties.
Centuries ago, the skies above the United Counties were ruled by dragons. Since the last king used trickery and black magic to slaughter the dragons, the land has been ruled by the Council of Wise Men.
But the headstrong wizard Gerald believes there is still a dragon alive, high in the north, hidden in the mountains.
Together with his friend Robin, the soldier William and Marjana, he sets out to find the last survivor of this noble race. What they discover is beyond their wildest expectations.
