ZELENSKYY

Volodymyr Zelenskyy is a Ukrainian leader whose life reads like an unlikely script that turned real. Born in 1978 in Kryvyi Rih, he first rose to fame not in politics but in entertainment, as a comedian and actor.

He became widely known through the television series Servant of the People, in which he played a humble teacher who unexpectedly becomes president. In a twist of history, Zelenskyy followed a similar path in reality, winning the Ukrainian presidency in 2019 with a message of reform, anti-corruption, and national unity.

His leadership gained global attention after Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022, part of the broader Russo-Ukrainian War. Zelenskyy chose to remain in Kyiv despite the danger, becoming a symbol of resistance.
