The Girl Who Grew A Storm Cloud

Vaylynn is a girl with a big imagination and an even bigger eye-roll. To her, a little lie is just a shortcut, and a "story" is a way to get what she wants. But every time she tells a fib-about a cookie, a chore, or a messy room-a tiny puff of purple mist appears above her head.

At first, the mist is light and fluffy, but as the lies stack up, the mist turns into a thick, swirling storm cloud. Vaylynn doesn't realize that while she's busy "winning" her arguments, her cloud is growing so dark that her parents can no longer see the truth-even when she's finally telling it.

When a perfect sunny day at the Lake is threatened by the very storm she created, Vaylynn must learn that honesty isn't just about "getting in trouble." It's about clearing the air so the people who love her can truly hear her voice again.
