• Premise: Kaelen, an unassigned archivist in the floating city of Aethelgard, illegally extracts memories from dying citizens to sell on the black market to pay for her sister’s medical care. During a raid, she stumbles across a redacted memory cube containing evidence of political assassinations.

• ​The Conflict: Vane, the cold, ruthless chief enforcer of the ruling council, tracks her down. Instead of executing her, he offers a forced deal: use her rare ability to decode the cube and find a rogue assassin, or face public incineration.
