The Night Feeder is an ancient, basin-sized chitinous god buried under Route 191. It farms broken school buses, herding teens with tall, slit-faced things, rooting them with black tendrils, parking them forever as smiling, black-eyed passengers inside its throat, laying eggs in backpacks to ride home and feed again soon.
