It started as a few speaking out against the oppression of rising Anomalies. It ended with humans hunting us down for the healing elixir that runs in our bodies. We were feared and shoved under a rock, and now we are hunted and ripped out of our holes - Elijah Church, Leader of the Open Hand

Piper is being hunted by the infamous Ghost, who has a kill streak that touched every state. Ghost has one goal: capture the blood Anomaly and use her to heal himself of this terrible thing known as the Sandbrood, if he gets to use her later as a blood big, bonus. John heard that a grocery store had a sanctuary; he quickly learned that this place was a trap, and it was up to him who would leave alive.
